Introduction

Welcome to UnderstandMylove (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, questionnaire, personal connection reports, and related digital services (together, the “Service”). The operator's legal identity and contact details are set out at the end of this document.

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. Before placing a paid order, you will be shown the applicable price, renewal frequency and other essential conditions. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights.

About our service

UnderstandMylove offers an educational self-reflection questionnaire about personal connection patterns and ways of giving and receiving love. Your answers may be used to generate a personalised digital report and related guidance.

Our content is intended for reflection and general information. Results are interpretive, not scientific diagnoses, guaranteed assessments of compatibility, or predictions about any particular relationship.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age required to enter into a binding online agreement in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher, to purchase a subscription. You agree to provide accurate information needed to deliver the Service and process your order. You are responsible for keeping access links and account credentials secure.

Pricing and subscriptions

Unless a different offer is explicitly displayed and accepted at checkout, our subscription is structured as follows:

By confirming a subscription purchase, you authorise the payment provider to collect the introductory charge and subsequent recurring charges according to the terms clearly presented at checkout. The applicable amount, billing interval, taxes (if any), and any special promotional conditions are shown before you complete payment.

A four-week billing period is 28 days; it is not the same as a calendar month. You can cancel future renewals at any time, subject to the effective cancellation date confirmed through your billing provider.

Cancellation

You may cancel future subscription renewals at any time. Visit our Cancel subscription page to access the available subscription-management method or contact support for assistance. Follow the process through to the confirmation of cancellation.

Simply closing your browser, leaving the website, deleting an email, or viewing the cancellation page does not cancel an active subscription. Unless otherwise stated in your confirmation or required by law, cancelling prevents future renewals and does not automatically reverse a charge already made.

If you cannot access your subscription, contact us promptly using the email address associated with your purchase. Do not share passwords or full card details.

Withdrawal rights and refunds

Consumers may have statutory withdrawal rights under applicable law, including EU/Belgian consumer law where relevant. Digital content or services may be subject to specific rules about immediate performance and the circumstances in which a withdrawal right can be lost. We will only rely on an exception where all legal conditions are met, including any required express consent and acknowledgement during checkout.

Cancellation of a subscription and a request for a refund are separate actions. If a 30-day money-back guarantee is advertised as part of your specific offer, its complete conditions must be made available to you before purchase and will apply in addition to, not instead of, your mandatory statutory rights. Please see our Refund policy when published, or contact support for refund assistance. Nothing here excludes rights to remedies for digital content or services that do not conform to the contract.

Payments and billing

Payments and recurring billing are processed through our payment provider, Stripe, or another provider identified at checkout. We do not ask you to send full card details by email. Payment attempts may fail or be retried in accordance with the payment arrangements disclosed at checkout and applicable law.

If your payment method expires or a charge fails, access may be affected after any applicable notices or grace periods. Contact support if you believe a charge is incorrect.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, interfere with its security or availability, access other users' information without authorisation, use automated systems to scrape or overload it, or reproduce and resell paid reports without permission. We may take proportionate steps to address abuse, subject to applicable law and your statutory rights.

Content and intellectual property

Our branding, design, text, questionnaire structure, software and other original materials belong to UnderstandMylove or their respective licensors. Your purchase gives you a personal, non-exclusive right to access and use the content made available under your subscription, subject to these Terms. You retain any rights you hold in the information you submit.

Educational, not clinical advice

UnderstandMylove is a self-reflection experience. It is not therapy, psychological assessment, medical advice, crisis support or a substitute for qualified professional care. The Service cannot guarantee relationship outcomes, personal transformation or compatibility with another person. You remain responsible for decisions you make using the information provided.

Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available and functioning properly, but maintenance, technical issues and third-party interruptions can occur. We may improve or update features from time to time. Any changes affecting an active paid contract remain subject to applicable consumer law.

Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted, including mandatory consumer protections. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for outcomes arising solely from treating educational reflections as professional advice, or for interruptions outside our reasonable control. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

Privacy and personal data

We process personal data in accordance with applicable data-protection law. For information about what we collect, why we use it, retention, processors and your rights, please read our Privacy policy. Do not submit highly sensitive personal information unless necessary for the requested support.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Service, law or business practices. The current version will display its effective or last-updated date. Where required, we will provide advance notice or obtain agreement before changes affect an existing paid contract. Changes do not retroactively remove accrued statutory rights.

Applicable law and disputes

Subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules, these Terms are governed by the law of the country in which the Service operator is established, currently indicated below as Belgium. Consumers retain the protections of mandatory laws applicable in their country of habitual residence where those laws apply. If an issue arises, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it fairly. You may also use any competent court or consumer dispute-resolution mechanism available under applicable law.
